About me
I believe therapy can be a powerful space for making sense of life when life stops making sense.
My work is rooted in helping people navigate intense, complex, and life-changing experiences. I offer a grounded, supportive space to reflect, heal, and integrate, with honesty and compassion.
Training & Approach
I’m an existential psychotherapist, coach, and doctoral researcher. I have a Master of Professional Practice (MProf) in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling from Middlesex University/New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC) - where I am enrolled as a doctoral researcher. I am also a trained supervisor and have experience working with groups.
Alongside my psychotherapy training, I hold an ICF Accredited Diploma in Transformational Coaching, with further training in existential coaching and group coaching from Animas Centre for Coaching.
Working integratively, I draw from a rich palette of therapeutic approaches, including:
- Existential philosophy
- Person-centred
- Psychodynamic
- CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and positive psychology
- Existential coaching is also woven into my work if/when appropriate
Research Focus
My doctoral research explores the experiences of midlife women who made the decision to withdraw life support for their mothers after a sudden health crisis. It’s deeply personal work — asking how we find meaning in moments we never imagined, especially when facing impossible choices, loss, and change.
My Path Here
In addition to my private practice, most recently I served as Clinical Lead at Sussex Community Counselling at SCDA, which is a BACP accredited service offering general and specialist counselling to those impacted by domestic abuse, bereaved by suicide, and survivors of suicide.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in equality and diversity at the University of Brighton, supporting inclusion across race, gender, disability, and LGBTQ+ communities.
In the U.S., I founded a fair trade retail business that supported women’s economic empowerment through ethical trade — a mission that continues today, more than two decades later, under new ownership. I also worked as a Small Business Development Advisor with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the State of Connecticut and developed regulated IT systems for Pfizer, a global pharmaceutical company.
I hold a BBA in Finance and Investments from the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College (CUNY), New York.
Membership
As a registered member of both the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I bring both depth and rigour to my work. I follow the professional and ethical standards of these organisations to ensure a safe, supportive, and trustworthy therapeutic space.
